Job summary

The Saginaw Intermediate School District seeks a Supervisor of Special Education to provide leadership for administration and management of services and programs across ancillary staff, including evaluation of providers. The role also sustains and adapts the SISD Teacher Mentoring program and partners with Human Resources for implementation.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education preferred.
• Mastery of state and federal Special Education mandates.
• Administrative certification or ability to complete within three years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide Administrative Oversight for the SISD Ancillary Service work team.
• Perform evaluative duties and IDP support for ancillary staff.
• Lead and provide oversight to ancillary work teams.
• Align onboarding processes for ancillary staff within Special Education with HR.
• Maintain staffing and caseload details for accurate reporting.
• Develop staffing plans and evaluate local and county-wide staffing needs, including virtual partnerships.
• Liaise with HR to attract and retain staff.
• Oversee SISD Mentor program within Special Education.
• Support Frontline or comparable staff evaluation systems.
• Administer Special Education Programs and Services per mandates, including needs assessments and in-service training.
