Job summary

Vista College Prep seeks a dedicated Special Education teacher to foster inclusive learning and implement IEPs and 504 plans. You will work with a team to support students on caseload and coordinate with related service providers to ensure appropriate accommodations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Special Education certification required.
• Ability to obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Experience implementing IEPs and 504 plans.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive student relationships through core values and SEL.
• Develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans with targeted goals.
• Teach and facilitate school-wide systems and procedures.
• Coordinate with Student Success Team and providers.
• Review student data to address learning needs and accountability.

Your Impact:

• Fosterpositive student relationships through core values and social-emotional learning
• Develop and implement rigorous, standards-aligned IEPs and 504 plans with targeted goals tied to grade level expectations for all students in case load, revising as updating as needed or, at minimum, annually
• Teachand facilitieschool-wide systems and procedures in alignment with our school culture
• Serve as an inclusion teacher as needed to more effectivelysupport the learning abilities of allstudents
• Collaboratewith general education teachers and school staff to ensure appropriate differentiation of curriculum and delivery of accommodations and modifications per IEPsand504 Plansofstudents in caseload
• Engageincollaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions
• Communicate effectively and proactivelywith students, families, and colleagues, centering on relationships as core to our work
• Reviewstudent data toaddress learning needs and hold all students accountable for content mastery
• Manage all Special Education-related compliance and documentation, including but not limited to meeting requests, signed IEP Progress Reports, evaluations, Teacher Input Questionnaires, and Special Education files
• Coordinate with Student Success Team and contracted providers, including but not limited to Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and School Psychologist as needed
• Work to continuously improve effectiveness in all instructional practices, using school’s teacher performance rubric as a guide; Be accountable for students’ mastery of IEP/504 Plan goals
• Participating in annual staff training to connect as a community and prepare for the coming school year

Your Compensation:

• Competitive base salaries reflective of our local market plus candidate experience and education level
• Candidates certified to teach Special Educationin Arizona will receive a $3,000stipend in addition to their compensation base pay.Candidates not certified to teach Special Education in Arizona will receive a $2,000 stipend in addition to their compensation base pay.
