This position manages assigned network, projects, and programs to assist school districts in implementing federal laws and regulations, state laws and Commissioner and State Board of Education rules that meet the diverse needs of all students. Provides training, technical assistance, activities, and services related to these projects and network activities and regional needs, including technical assistance and training on accommodations and modifications, co-teaching, and differentiated instruction. Keep abreast of changes and timelines/deadlines for systems such as RDA and SPP as well as other federal/state accountability systems directly related to special education. Services will be based on a region-wide needs assessment system that include the priority areas listed in special education state and federal regulations and state deliverables and requirements addressing the social emotional development of students in schools.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
  • Certified in Special Education
  • Endorsed as a Behavior Coach Preferred, or acquire endorsement
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Preferred

Salary Type Annually

Additional Job Information Experience:

  • Experience implementing and monitoring Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
  • Experience with data collection and implementing Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in an inclusive setting.
  • Experience with IEP development and ARD and Manifestation Determination Review processes.
  • Experience with classroom management support.
