Job summary

The Menta Academy Yuma, part of The Menta Education Group, is seeking a qualified school counselor/ social work professional to join our direct-hire, salaried team in Yuma, AZ. Hours are 8:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, following a 10-month school calendar with paid breaks. Required credentials include one of the ADE-approved licenses (Social Work or Counseling) and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, analyze data, and implement effective interventions.

Qualifications

• Must hold one of the listed licenses: Social Work (LBSW/LMSW/LCSW) or ADE-certified School Counselor/Psychologist/Counselor.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership and data-analysis abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Employ data-based decision-making regarding multidisciplinary collaboration, functional behavior assessments and behavioral approaches.
• Build leadership to effectively help students succeed.
• Develop positive behavioral and academic interventions.
• Monitor and report student progress and complete evaluations and program evaluations; consult with educators, parents, and other professionals.
• Some local travel to other Menta locations may be necessary.

REQUIRED ONLY ONE (1) OF THE FOLLOWING LICENSES:
