  1. Implement and follow each student's IEP and PBSP.
  2. Use de-escalation strategies throughout the day.

  • Dressing appropriately for the role, including closed-toe shoes every day.
  • Following precautions in each PBSP and as directed by the Special Education Teacher, BCBA, or Clinician.
  • Staying calm in unforeseen circumstances and considering variables that may maintain challenging behavior.

None. The Ed Tech III provides instruction with the Special Education Teacher in 1:1, 1:2, and small-group settings, in both RISE /FLS / DT and general education classrooms as indicated.

Communication

Teamwork is essential to the services RISE /FLS / DT provides, and it starts with professional communication that keeps the environment safe and structured.

  • Written: Legible, professional, and always in the best interest of students.
  • Verbal feedback: Delivered in many ways throughout the day and intended to improve skills and job knowledge.
  • Following direction: Directions and recommendations from the Special Education Teacher, BCBA, Clinician, and school administration are followed to the greatest extent possible.
