STEP/SALARY: BA - 6TH YEAR / $51,079 - $107,539
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing plans for students, managing the classroom environment, providing students with instruction, and assessing students' knowledge, needs, abilities and progress. Responsible when appropriate, for planning and producing presentations which exhibit student work, talent, and/or athletic skills. The Special Education teacher assumes responsibility for the development of the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and consults with necessary school personnel to provide appropriate modifications and accommodations as mandated by the student's IEP.
Salary will be in accordance with the BEA contract salary schedule.
