BASIS ED is seeking a qualified Special Education Resource / Self-Contained Classroom Teacher in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on implementing IEPs, delivering specially designed instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to ensure FAPE.
The ideal candidate holds a DC Special Education certification, a Bachelor's degree in education, and CPR/First Aid, with strong communication skills for families and staff. Experience with IEP coordination is valued.

The role of the Special Education Resource /Self-Contained Classroom Teacher is to work directly with students to identify and fulfill needed educational services and supports as part of a students Individualized Education Program (IEP). Special Education Teacher participates in IEP meetings and provides support to the general education teachers regarding classroom interventions, student accommodations, modifications, and special education requirements.
