Job summary

CHAP Center is accepting applications for a Special Education Resource Paraprofessional. The role supports students under the teacher's direction, providing one-on-one and small-group assistance, and contributing to all classroom activities. Duties include lifting, lunchroom help, toileting assistance, and supervision in various areas of the building.

Hours run Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a 6 hour 45 minute daily schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to supervise students individually and in groups.
• Ability to follow teacher directions and school policies.
• Commitment to student safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students one-on-one and in small groups as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist the teacher with in-class activities and routines.
• Provide physical assistance as needed and required in the classroom setting.
• Assist in the lunchroom and with toileting, transportation, and recreational activities in all areas of the building.
