Wareham Public Schools seeks a collaborative and highly organized Special Education Program Administrator to lead the district’s out-of-district placement work and provide administrative and instructional leadership for designated special education programs, including programs at Wareham Elementary School.

• Master’s degree or CAGS in special education, educational administration, or a related field.
• Massachusetts Administrator of Special Education license.
• At least three years of successful special education teaching experience.
• At least three years of successful special education administrative or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Massachusetts special education requirements, IEP processes, placement, and service delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex responsibilities, meet deadlines, communicate clearly, and work effectively with families and colleagues.
• Commitment to serving students with diverse strengths, backgrounds, and needs.

Responsabilidades

• Out-of-district coordination; referrals, searches, placements, transitions, and case management.
• Primary contact for families, district teams, receiving programs, and agencies.
• Coordinate required Team meetings, documentation, progress monitoring, and visits.
• Monitor student needs and progress; plan transitions or programming changes.
• Support complex placement matters with district leadership and counsel as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting for Circuit Breaker and Extraordinary Relief.
• Provide admin support and special education expertise to Wareham Elementary School and other programs.
• Collaborate with building administrators to strengthen programming and address student needs.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate assigned special education staff.
