Job summary

Boyd County Public School District is seeking a Program Assistant II to support Special Education services in the Catlettsburg area. The role involves assisting certified staff with instruction to individuals or small groups, monitoring progress and reporting outcomes.

Qualified candidates will have strong communication skills, work well in a team, and a high school diploma or GED (or progress toward GED) with 48 college hours or ParaEducator Exam as required by Kentucky law.

Qualifications

• Shall communicate effectively both orally and in writing with parents, students and faculty.
• Shall have demonstrated people skills to indicate ability to function in a team oriented environment.
• Shall have a high school diploma, GED Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.

Responsibilities

• To assist certified staff in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress.
• For K-12 classroom positions you must have a minimum of 48 college hours required or you must take the ParaEducator Exam.
