Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Level III Educational Assistant license from NMPED required.

• Possession of or ability to obtain a First Aid Certificate.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit, if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist specialists in delivering the educational plan to meet IEP goals.
• Assist teacher with lesson plans, grading, and record keeping.
• Maintain confidential records and files with proper documentation.
• Help students individually or in groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Operate classroom and office equipment to prepare materials.
• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, lunch, and field trips.
• Assist with medical needs and behavior management as directed.
