Help develop and foster appropriate skills and social abilities to enable optimum development of children according to age, ability, and aptitude. Under direction of special education teacher, assist in implementation of a variety of academic and behavioral strategies for individual students. Provide one‑to‑one student supervision, including behavior modification, collecting student data, and evaluating student goals. Work collaboratively with the special education department to foster student success. Assist teachers in challenging and inspiring students to deepen their knowledge and understanding. Required skills include language skills, mathematical skills, reasoning ability, and computer skills.
Salary is determined by experience within the 2025‑26 school year, ranging from $37,087.20 to $51,510.00. Position start date being mid‑year, salary will be pro‑rated. Benefits include medical and dental (optional), life insurance/AD&D, short‑term and long‑term disability. Flex spending accounts for medical or dependent care are optional, and employees are responsible for monthly insurance premiums. Enrollment in the PERA retirement plan is required for all non‑licensed employees.
