Job summary

SESI Schools, a division of FullBloom, seeks a School Director to lead the School Program, ensuring quality and compliance, supervising staff, and driving student success in Sherman, Texas.

The role oversees academic policies, budgeting, PBIS implementation, and collaboration with parents and district officials to support all students and maintain detailed records of progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Administration and special education teaching credential preferred.
  • Extensive experience with students with disabilities strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followed
  • Developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional success
  • Helping teachers maximize their teaching potential
  • Meeting and listening to concerns of students on a regular basis
  • Encouraging, guiding and assisting student leaders and teachers
  • Meeting with parents and administrators on a regular basis for problem resolution
  • Enforcing discipline when necessary
  • Providing an atmosphere free of bias in which students can achieve their maximum potential
  • Teach the knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students by utilizing SESI instructional models, strategies, and curriculum
  • Utilize school’s behavior management and intervention strategies including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and PBIS strategies
  • Drive, record, and track student growth and progress towards academic, social, and emotional goals
  • Ensure that all students are being educated in accordance with their IEPs
  • Observe classrooms regularly with feedback forms
  • Attend regional activities including weekly Director’s Meeting
  • Attend monthly Goal Review with Supervisor; grow and complete goals
  • Forge and maintain stakeholder relationships (district officials, parents, etc.)
  • Maintain records including financial, state licensing, student, and employee documentation
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain the school's budget, adhering to financial guidelines
  • Analyze profit and loss statements, identify areas for improvement, and propose cost/revenue strategies
  • Collaborate with finance to prepare financial reports and forecasts
  • Assist in creating and enforcing HR policies and procedures
  • Support staff professional development and training needs
  • Manage enrollment processes
  • Coordinate daily school operations and communication
  • Collaborate with facilities management for maintenance needs
  • Implement systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Organize and facilitate IEP meetings
  • Maintain documentation of special education services and progress reports
  • Stay updated with best practices in special education
  • Lead school-wide PBIS program development and implementation
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers implementing PBIS
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Social or Behavior Sciences, or a related field

  • Maintain excellent records including financial, state licensing, student, and employee documentation
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain the school's budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements, identify areas for improvement, and propose strategies for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to prepare financial reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to the school administration.
  • Assist in creating and enforcing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support staff professional development initiatives, identifying training needs and organizing relevant workshops or programs.
  • Manage enrollment processes, including student admissions, transfers, and withdrawals.
  • Coordinate daily school operations, ensuring smooth communication among various departments.
  • Collaborate with facilities management to address maintenance and infrastructure needs.
  • Implement systems and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness within the school.
  • Organize and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents, and relevant stakeholder
  • Maintain accurate documentation of special education services, progress reports, and related records
  • Stay updated with best practices and research in special education, ensuring the implementation of evidence-based strategies
  • Lead the development and implementation of a school-wide PBIS program.(Thought partner)
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing PBIS practices.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Posted Salary Range
