Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small-group support under the direction of a special education teacher.
• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, hygiene, dressing, mobility, and positioning.
• Support students during classroom instruction, transitions, meals, recess, arrival, and dismissal.
• Reinforce academic, behavioral, communication, and independent-living skills identified by the supervising teacher.
• Follow students' IEPs, behavior plans, health plans, and safety procedures.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Observe student progress and communicate information to the supervising teacher and appropriate staff.
• Protect student confidentiality and comply with district policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by building administrator or supervising teacher.
