Job summary

Union Township Public Schools is seeking dedicated paraprofessional job coaches to support students with disabilities in community-based vocational training and work-based learning experiences.

Requirements include 60 college credits or Praxis ParaPro, NJ Substitute Credential, and the Rutgers Boggs Center career exploration training or willingness to complete by Sept 30, 2026. Travel between school and community sites is required.

Qualifications

• 60 college credits or Praxis ParaPro requirement.
• Valid New Jersey Substitute Credential.
• Experience with students with disabilities or in vocational/community settings.
• Ability to travel between school and community job sites with students.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, employers, families and partners.
• Rutgers Boggs Center Job Coaching for Career Exploration training by Sep 30, 2026 or equivalent.

Union High School – Special Education Paraprofessional Job Coach (2026 - 2027 School Year)

The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking dedicated, student-centered Paraprofessional Job Coaches to support students with disabilities participating in community-based vocational training and work‑based learning experiences.

Requirements

• 60 college credits or a passing score on Praxis ParaPro
• Valid New Jersey Substitute Credential
• Experience working with students with disabilities and/or in vocational or community-based settings
• Ability to travel between school and community job sites with students
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, employers, families, and community partners
• Certificate of Completion of the Rutgers Boggs Center's Job Coaching for Career Exploration in Community Settings training course, or willingness to register for and successfully complete the training by September 30, 2026

Salary Range: $26,724 - $34,549 in accordance with the UTEA Agreement based on education and experience plus a $1,000 stipend for Job Coach responsibilities.
