Florence Unified School District #1 is seeking a Paraprofessional Level II in the Exceptional Student Services Department. You will work under the supervision of the Site Administrator/ESS Director to support students with special needs, align with IEP goals, collect progress data, and assist with instructional materials and daily living skills.

The position involves collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families, and requires maintaining confidentiality, readiness for crisis

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher OR two years of study (60+ credit hours) or paraprofessional assessment required.
• Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, parents, and students to implement IEP goals.
• Adapt activities to address IEP goals and ensure participation.
• Collect data on IEP goals and monitor student progress.
• Create visuals and aids to support communication and learning.
• Assist with daily living skills as needed to support student independence.
• Support therapists during sessions and transfer strategies to classroom use.
• Implement behavioral plans and use AAC/assistive tech as directed.
• Supervise students during drills, recess, lunch, and field trips.
• Maintain confidential student information and proper records.
