Job summary

New Prague is seeking a special education paraprofessional to assist students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum and benefiting from their placement.

Under the supervision of a special education teacher, you will carry out interventions, accommodations and modifications while fostering a positive learning environment for all students served by I.S.D. 721, located about 45 miles southwest of the Twin Cities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic computer, math and language skills.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities and diverse needs.
• Knowledge of district discipline policy and CPI training if required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of district information.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities who need support to access the curriculum and benefit from their educational placement.
• Under the supervision of a special education teacher, carry out appropriate interventions, accommodations, and modifications.
• Foster and maintain a positive learning environment for all students.
