Job summary

Qualifications

Certified para professional credential required or equivalent.
Ability to work with special needs students and follow instructions.
Willingness to pass paraprofessional competency test if needed.

Responsibilities

Assists teacher in the educational process for special needs students.
Assist students to and from buses and supervise during lunch and recess.
Monitor students in isolation and support one-on-one tutoring.
Assist with grading and maintaining classroom materials as needed.
Help wheelchair and physically handicapped students loading/unloading buses.
Support students in mainstreamed classes when required.
Prepare materials and assist with special education forms as requested.
Lead the classroom in the absence of the teacher.
