Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Paraprofessional/Teacher's Aide to assist children with special needs in Blackwood, NJ. Position begins at $20 per hour and involves supporting classrooms under certificated teachers.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, guiding students, reading aloud, and assisting with lesson plans. Requires high school diploma and background clearance; TB testing and a sexual misconduct survey are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma.
• Experience working with children for a year or more.
• Department of Education Fingerprint background and approval required.
• Sexual Misconduct Survey will be provided during the application process.
• TB Testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with arranging the learning environment and displays.
• Under supervision, prepare for classroom activities by distributing and collecting papers and materials.
• Assist students with assignments, homework and projects; reinforce classroom rules and provide guidance.
• Read to students and help with reading, pronunciation, and basic math/writing tasks.
• Assist with lesson plan implementation and administer tests; prepare mandated reports.
• Tutor individuals or small groups and coordinate with the teacher on materials and plans.
