Job summary

The Conway Public School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support individual students with special needs under the direction of teachers and administrators. The paraprofessional will work within a team, follow district policies, and participate in ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Must be Highly Qualified under Arkansas criteria (two years of college, an associate degree, or ETS Parapro score).
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with district teams.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Assists student(s) with physical tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Supports the teacher with methods, materials, and reinforcement plans.
• Aids communication between home and school.
• Participates in ongoing staff development.
• Helps plan scheduling and prepares materials to support learning.
• Communicates regularly with teachers about students' needs and progress.
• Keeps information about the school, staff, children, and families confidential.
• Other duties, as assigned.
