Job summary

Qualifications

• Assurance of reading, writing and math instruction

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher; work with individual students or small groups
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
• Assist with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment
• Help teachers keep administrative records and reports
• Orient and assist substitute teachers
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground
• Notify teachers of special needs or problems of individual students
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings
