Job summary

Puyallup School District is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator for the Support Center at Edgemont Junior High. This 3-hour daily position supports students with disabilities, following a PESPA Level 3 schedule over a 191-day calendar.

Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and meet one of several education options. Documentation of qualifications and references is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• ONE of the following: associate degree or higher; 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher; or 65% on The Master Teacher Paraprofessional Online Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support in academic instruction to students with disabilities.
• Assist with modified curriculum and tailored instruction.
• Support functional academics, daily living skills, prevocational/vocational skills, behavior and social skills as applicable.
