Job summary

Horizons Elementary is seeking a Paraeducator for the 2026/27 school year. The position supports instructional and student supervision duties under licensed staff, with a 6.0 hour/day schedule, 5 days per week, across 189 days per year.

The role involves direct student assistance in various settings, adherence to district policies, and collaboration with diverse families to promote student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits OR Para Pro test may be required.
• Experience working with diverse families/communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instructional support and assessment.
• Support students with daily tasks and activities.
• Follow health and safety procedures as directed by school nurse.
• Communicate respectfully with students, families, and staff.
• Maintain student progress records and documentation.
