Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher and/or independently instructs students within small groups or individually.
• Works with students to maintain appropriate behavior using behavioral modification techniques.
• Assists with student discipline using a positive time-out approach.
• Performs various clerical duties and supports PT, OT, and PE specials.
• Assists with informal student assessment and documents records such as IEP reports.
• May monitor class for short periods when the teacher is absent.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
