Job summary

Harford County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for the CSP program at Church Creek Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports instructional activities, assists with data collection, and helps implement IEP/IFSP plans under teacher supervision.

The position is full-time for ten months with salary starting at $27,242 and up to $45,749, plus a $2,500 stipend. Candidates must meet education or testing requirements; strong communication skills and the ability to lift

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or 48 college credits with grade "C" or higher; or a passing paraprofessional exam.
ParaPro score of 455 or higher, before Aug 31, 2026.
ParaPathways: Reading and Writing 332+ and Math 334+.
Foundations of Classroom Support (517) with a score of 220+; Foundations of Classroom Support and Instruction (519) with a score of 220+.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Able to be trained in restraint techniques and to lift and transfer students up to 40 pounds.
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides support to students during instruction.
Implements teacher lesson plans with individuals or small groups of students.
Works under the direction of the teacher to provide instruction to individual or small groups of students.
Assists with data collection, testing, and student assessment.
Assists with the implementation of IEPs and IFSPs for students with special needs depending on placement.
Monitors student behavior and implements behavioral strategies and intervention plans.
Provides assistance with personal care needs including lifting, transferring, feeding, toileting, and restraint as required.
Prepares instructional materials for students as directed.
Assists with school-wide duties including field trips, assemblies, class coverage, bus duty, and computer lab.
Participates in professional development programs as assigned.
Operates with students via digital platforms for instruction and assessment.
Performs other duties as assigned, including in-person and virtual tasks as applicable.
