REPORTS TO: School Principal and Director of Special Education.
JOB GOAL: To work closely with one or a few handicapped students for more than 50% of the school day in an effort to provide them with the physical help and emotional support they need to gain full benefits from the district’s special education program.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

WORK SCHEDULE: The work day shall be established by the building principal but shall not exceed 7.5 hours per day, excluding half hour for a duty‑free lunch, unless other arrangements are made by the supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a nine‑month contract (182 days). Salary is based upon the board approved salary schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of Support Personnel.
