Bond Health is seeking Special Education Mentor Teachers for Brooklyn and Manhattan locations. The role supports preschool and school-age students through collaboration with directors, teachers, and aides to enhance lesson plans and IEP development.

The position requires a Master’s in Special Education, NYS certifications for early childhood and special education, and availability 8am–3pm year-round. Vaccination may be required by policy.

Qualifikationen

• Master's Degree in Special Education.
• New York State Certification in Special Education Early Childhood (Birth-2nd grade).
• New York State Certification in Early Childhood Education or N-6 (Day Care/UPK).
• Must meet all additional NY State Certification requirements.

Aufgaben

• Plans and models activities adapted to students' needs with Teachers and Assistants.
• Assists in assessment and IEP development; implements goals and monitors progress.
• Prepares students for Annual Review meetings with CPSE administrators and re-evaluations.
• Provides training in educational assessment using DAYC-2, HELP, and informal observations.
• Supports teachers in adapting lesson plans and materials; arranges environment for learning.
• Maintains attendance, progress, and quarterly/annual records with confidentiality.
