Who we are:

Shineforth's Charterhouse School-Richmond campus is a private day special education school that serves students from around the central Virginia area. Our K-12 school partners with local school systems to provide students' education in their least restrictive environment. Charterhouse School is licensed through the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and accredited through the Virginia Association of Independent Special Education Facilities (VAISEF).

Who we serve:

We serve students in grades K-12 with a variety of educational and/or social/emotional needs. All of our students have an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Staff work with students on their individual goals and provide instruction aligned with Virginia SOL curriculum. Our small class sizes and a student to staff ratio of 8:2 allow for more individualized instruction and support.

What we are looking for:

A Math Teacher for grades 6-9 who will provide an educational environment where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for growth. Candidates will have the ability to work collaboratively with the support staff in the classroom to best meet the academic and social needs of the students.

Education and Experience Requirements

A valid Virginia teaching license in Special Education General Curriculum K-12 or Mathematics.

Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000
