Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Learning Specialist/Special Education Teacher for the Therapeutic Learning Center at May Street Elementary, starting August 24, 2026. This role focuses on instructing students with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Oregon Teaching License with a special education endorsement and have experience in supporting students with special needs through individualized plans. A supportive atmosphere and professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs in an MTSS/special education setting.
• Training and experience working with IEPs and behavior plans.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
