Qualifications

• Approval to teach special education and/or successful experience in teaching students K-12 with a variety of disabilities including moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, Autism, mental health concerns, emotional disturbance and behavioural difficulties.
• Demonstrated capacity to use student assessment, data and individual learning goals to inform teaching and lead professional learning to drive curriculum change and cater for the academic and individualised learning of students with diverse and multiple needs.
• Demonstrated successful explicit teaching practice with strong, adaptable classroom management skills and ability to develop positive classroom relationships to inspire, mentor and lead teachers with a range of experience.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead positive, proactive and evidence-informed approaches to student behaviour, regulation and wellbeing, including supporting staff to respond to complex student needs.
