Fusion Academy is a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5-12, where every class is personalized to each student’s strengths, interests, and learning needs. As our Special Education Lead Teacher, you’ll guide our community in ensuring every student—especially those with learning differences—receives the individualized academic, social, and emotional support they deserve.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or certification in Educational Therapy, Special Education, or related field is required.
• 4–7 years of experience supporting students with learning differences, ADHD, or emotional challenges.
• Deep understanding of IEPs, 504s, and ISPs.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and collaborate across teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Empathy and patience with neurodiverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Champion 1-to-1 model by designing accommodations and personalized strategies for every learner.
• Partner with parents, outside professionals, and campus staff to ensure students receive the right support.
• Lead and mentor teachers in understanding diverse learning profiles.
• Review testing, documentation, and student plans to ensure accommodations and goals.
• Provide professional development, coaching, and parent education on learning differences and interventions.
• Collaborate with the Head of School on admissions and ensuring new students thrive.
• Teach and maintain a caseload of students.
• Contribute to a campus culture rooted in connection, growth, and belonging.
