Job summary

All About Kids is seeking Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) to provide 1:1 instruction to preschoolers (ages 3-5) across New York City’s five boroughs. Roles include full-time and part-time positions with compensation including benefits and mentoring.

You will deliver IEP-based services in preschools, daycares or homes, coordinating with teachers, parents, and therapists to support each child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in education or related field.
• Certification in Special Education is required (NY State).
• Experience implementing IEPs and collaborating with families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or small group educational services to preschool children per IEP.
• Implement and monitor child’s IEP goals.
• Coordinate IEP program with classroom teachers, parents and related service therapists.
• Maintain progress notes and provide detailed progress reports.
• Communicate effectively with the IEP team and school staff.

All About Kids is seeking full-time and part-timeSpecial Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT)to provide 1:1 teaching to preschool children (ages 3 to 5 years old) throughout New York City’s five boroughs: Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Staten Island at preschools, daycares or children's homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or small group educational services to preschool children as per IEP guidelines.

• Implementation of the child’s IEP

• Coordinate child’s IEP program with classroom teachers, parents and related service therapists.

• Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals in daily log notes.

• Provide detailed progress reports.

• Maintain effective communication with AAK Team, preschool teachers, parents, and other members of the child’s IEP team.

Pay

$78.00-$84.00 per hour - SY 26-27

Expected hours

5-40 per week

Credential Requirements

• Master’s Degree (Required)

• Valid NYS Teaching Certification in any of the following:

  • Special Education Permanent

  • Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2

  • Students with Disabilities All Grades

• Cannot be a current DOE employee
