Fern Ridge School District 28J is seeking an instructional assistant in the Special Education Department at Elmira Elementary School to support students in a Bridges (behavior) classroom. The 7.00 position focuses on small group and individual instruction and may include supervision, light cleaning, and clerical tasks.

Successful candidates must pass a fingerprint background check with the Oregon Department of Education and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and a positive approach

Fern Ridge School District is accepting applications for a 7.00 Instructional Behavior Assistant in the Special Education Department at Elmira Elementary School. This position will provide small group and individual student support. Supervision, light cleaning and clerical work may also be required. Preference given to highly qualified applicants.

The successful candidate must be able to pass a fingerprint background check with the Oregon Department of Education (cost is $90.50).

Essential Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to take direction and feedback from supervising staff.
• Fingerprint background check with the Oregon Department of Education (cost is $90.50). Background checks are required for each successful candidate prior to starting work.

Compensation

• There are many benefits to eligible Fern Ridge School District employees including:
• Pay Range of $18.51 - $23.28 per hour depending on experience for in-district applicants
• Pay Range of $18.51 - $19.35 per hour depending on experience in a similar role for out of district applicants
