Job summary

Fort Bragg Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for severely handicapped students to support credentialed staff in education-related activities and clerical tasks within classrooms and related settings.

The role involves assisting in daily schedules, working with small groups, and helping develop individualized instruction plans, under supervision. A High School diploma is required, and the position may involve lifting and assisting mobility as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of the Fort Bragg Unified School District proficiency test consistent with E.C. Section 45344.5.
• Ability to work with severely handicapped students and follow instruction.
• Ability to maintain student confidentiality and handle medical procedures with training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing daily schedules for student services.
• Work with small groups and assist individuals as needed.
• Lead supervised activities and assist with physical education as required.
• Adapt and modify curriculum under supervision.
• Record attendance and maintain student files.
• Support data collection and progress evaluation for students.
