Job summary

BASIS Flagstaff is seeking qualified candidates for a Special Education Instructional Assistant to join our bright, passionate team in Flagstaff, AZ. You will work with students with disabilities in general education, small groups, or 1:1 settings, reinforcing positive behavior and supporting the SPED team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card or state background check, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or satisfactory state background check required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in general education, small group setting, or 1:1 setting.
• Reinforce positive behavior expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and progress information.
• Assist the ESS Coordinator/SPED Teacher with preparation of resource materials for individual students/small groups.
• Provide progress reporting information to ESS Coordinator/SPED Teacher.
• Help implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Reinforce and reteach concepts introduced by special education teachers.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the ESS team.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Potential site designee to provide CPI or TACT-2.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check.
• Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications and Credentials: Passing score on applicable paraprofessional exam, CPI or TACT-2.
• 1+ years with related special education job duties.

Primary Job Responsibilities
