Job summary

Jordan School District is seeking an instructional assistant to supervise students with special needs under the direction of the classroom teacher. Role includes small group instruction, behavior plan support, and assistance in bathroom, bus, lunchroom and playground.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and mobility for floor work. Basic Training (5 hours) must be completed within one week of hire; six months later, additional 40 hours may allow lane advancement.

Qualifications

• Able to supervise and support students with special needs.

• Assist students in bathroom, on/off bus, lunchroom and playground.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and move easily to/from floor.
