Job summary

The role involves helping students with academics, daily living and health care activities, and reducing clerical workload for teachers.

Applicants should have an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits and experience with children.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire or pass the ParaPro Test.
• Experience working with children in educational or supportive roles.
• Ability to implement Individual Education Plans under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives under teacher direction.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and classroom maintenance.
• Collect data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Implement behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Respond to problem behaviors per the plan and district policies.
• Support students with personal care needs as required to participate in school.
• Monitor groups to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
