Job summary

Family of Kidz in New York is seeking a licensed pediatric specialist to work with preschoolers on IFSP/IEP goals. Responsibilities include developing individualized lessons, tracking progress, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role supports school-hour schedules, with compensation ranging $65–$67 per hour and options for part-time fee-for-service or full-time depending on caseload. A dedicated, team-oriented professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the IFSP/IEP.
• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home and/or preschool based settings.
• Write detailed evaluation reports demonstrating the child’s abilities and areas of difficulties.
• Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the evaluation team
• Develop appropriate functional goals based upon the needs of the student.
• Attend IEP meetings.
