Job summary

Sanford Special Education Department has an immediate opening for a Maine Certified Ed Tech 2 or 3 at Carl J Lamb School in Sanford, ME. The position will work closely with the Special Education Teacher to implement lesson plans targeting academic, functional and social/emotional skills.

It involves teaching students with significant learning disabilities, 1:1 and small-group instruction, data collection, and supporting students in the mainstream setting with behavior support plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with Special Education Teacher to implement lesson plans targeting academic, functional and social/emotional skills.
• Teach students with significant learning disabilities affecting communication, age-appropriate skills, and safety behaviors.
• Provide small-group and 1:1 supports, with data collection and behavior support plan implementation.
• Experience in a K-4 setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans targeting academic, functional and social/emotional skills.
• Support students in small groups and 1:1 as needed.
• Collect data to track progress and inform instruction.
