Zusammenfassung

Merlin Day Academy is seeking a Special Education Classroom Aide to support individualized therapy activities and group sessions for children aged 6-14 with autism and other neurodiverse needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement therapeutic interventions in a classroom setting.

The role emphasizes a family-centered approach, ongoing learning opportunities, and a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Associate degree OR completion of at least 60 semester hours of college-level coursework.
• ISBE Paraprofessional License required.
• Experience working with children or clients with special needs is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Special Education Classroom Aide - Therapeutic Day Program

3319 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL | Clinic-Based | Predictable Monday-Friday, 7:45am - 3:15 PM schedule - No evenings or weekends.

• Hourly Rate: $20-$22/hour, based on experience and qualifications.

About The Role

Merlin Day Academy is an intensive therapeutic day program providing education and therapeutic intervention in a supportive classroom environment for children ages 6-14 with autism, AHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. Our relationship-based, family-centered approach focuses on helping students build the skills that foster success in their community and beyond.
