Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprinting and TB testing as part of pre-employment.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required every 2 years.
• Ability to work with students with diverse needs in a special education setting.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with the instructional team regarding daily student performance.
• Assist students individually or in groups with instructional tasks and accommodations.
• Support students with special needs using instructional media and tools.
• Assist with testing and development of social behaviors through positive reinforcement.
• Encourage participation in field trips and extracurricular activities.
• Supervise students during snack, lunch, and outdoor activities; assist with mobility.
• Maintain records and perform clerical duties related to programs.
• May travel between locations and lift up to 25 lbs when needed.
