Job summary

Denton High School is seeking a dedicated ARD Coordinator to manage Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings and ensure compliance with SPED regulations. You will advise teachers, parents, and support staff on IEPs, timelines, and program options, maintaining strong collaboration across campus and district levels.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with SPED certification and prior ARD experience; a master’s degree and diagnostician certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.
• Master's degree preferred for higher responsibilities.
• Certification as required by the State Board for Educator Certification in SPED.
• Diagnostician certification in progress preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate ARD meetings and prepare compliance documents.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and agencies on IEP implementation and strategies.
• Ensure district compliance with federal, state, and local special education rules.
• Maintain relationships with families, educators, and related service personnel.
• Schedule ARD meetings and notify parents in a timely manner.
• Oversee ARD paperwork and ensure deadlines are met.
• Act as case manager and provide training to staff and parents as needed.
• Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and district personnel.
