Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Aide in Needham, MA, to work in a school setting under the supervision of the special education department. The position is contract full time, 35 hours per week, paying $25 per hour.

The role involves assisting students with instructional and behavioral needs and may include support for personal and mobility care as directed by health professionals. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Current CPR if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Work with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
  • Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
