Job summary

Heritage Elementary in Keller, Texas seeks a Special Education Aide to support students with disabilities under the supervision of a Certified Teacher. The role includes implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP), including self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting is required or preferred.
• Ability to work with children with disabilities and adapt methods accordingly.
• Clear communication with teachers and staff to support IEP implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support under the direction of the teacher.
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and assist with inventory/maintenance of equipment.
• Keep records and assist substitute teachers as needed.
• Supervise students during the school day, including lunch/recess.
