Job summary

ORLEANS/NIAGARA BOCES is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support students in special education programs. The aide will follow directions, collaborate with staff, and provide compassionate, patient assistance to individuals with disabilities.

TCIS and de-escalation training are preferred to help maintain a safe learning environment. The role requires physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Civil Service – Non-competitive High School Diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of or experience with students with disabilities
• TCIS and de-escalation training preferred
• Regular attendance and dependability

Responsibilities

• Provide services in programs of special education.
• Take direction, be flexible, be able to exercise patience, and work collaboratively as a team member.
