Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Illinois PEL/paraprofessional license and substitute license.
• Experience working with children in school settings preferred.
• Ability to function within the school environment and follow classroom procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing a range of instructional activities for students with disabilities.
• Reinforce information and instructions after lessons.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Implement behavior modification plans when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students.
