Job summary

Kodiak Island Borough School District is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Aide IV. This position involves assisting students with intensive needs on a one-to-one or group basis while supporting the classroom teacher.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with special education students and maintain a patient, supportive environment. Requirements include a high school diploma and possibly a valid State of Alaska driver's license. This position is critical to the success of the students at Peterson Elementary in Kodiak, Alaska.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid State of Alaska driver's license without restrictions.
• Must successfully complete training for verbal de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist students identified with intensive needs throughout KIBSD.
• Work under supervision to support IEP goals.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and materials.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent
