Job summary

Fulton County Schools in Atlanta seeks a paraprofessional to support students and staff in a classroom or media center. You will assist the teacher with materials and work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.

Responsibilities include daily routine tasks such as distributing and collecting supplies, recording attendance, grading quizzes as assigned, and participating in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring and bus duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass the GACE para assessment or have 60 sem hours/90 quarter hours with C or better.
  • Associate's Degree or higher acceptable.
  • Must obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
  • 0–1 year experience preferred.
  • Classroom experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the teacher in the preparation of educational materials for students.
  • Works individually with students and/or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assists with daily routines: distributing/collecting supplies, taking attendance, grading quizzes as assigned.
  • Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring and bus duties.
  • Maintains bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
  • Participates in Dual Immersion training if applicable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by administrator.
