Job summary

Ralston School District 54 – Ralston District Office, Nebraska, seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional (Secondary) to support certified staff in classrooms and assist with instructional activities.

You will work with students individually and in small groups, help with materials and assessments, supervise lunch and bus duties, and participate in IEP processes as needed. Must have a high school diploma and Title 1 paraprofessional certification.

Qualifications

• Certification: Successful completion of Title 1 paraprofessional requirements.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Successful prior experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists and guides students individually and in small groups to reinforce reading, language arts, and math.
• Assists with classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials.
• Assists with record-keeping procedures to document student learning and performance.
• Supervise lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, and other non-instructional areas.
• Accompanies students on field trips for supervision.
