Young World Physical Education in Hillsville, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Special Education Aide to assist teachers in meeting individual student needs. Responsibilities include complying with schedules, implementing lesson plans, and supporting educational goals.

This is a 182‑day, 7 hour per day contract. This is a non‑exempt position as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is light work that may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
Primary Function: To assist teachers in providing for the individual needs of the student in order for each student to achieve his/her maximum academic and social potential.
Must have ability to lift and/or carry children.
Principal and/or Special Education Teacher.
The length of the contract will be determined by the Carroll County School Board. The salary will be from the Teacher Aide Salary Scale.
Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the school board policy and administrative regulations for the evaluation of classified personnel.
